Tuesday November 14, the General and Executive Secretary of the BSSSC alongside our newly elected youth Board Member, Timo Nikolaisen, were at the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) discussing how to involve youths more in the BSR.
Our friends at Euroregion Baltic - ERB and Union of the Baltic Cities were also there, also the Swedish Institute, Baltic 2030 - the CBSS Expert Group on Sustainable Development, representation from the Swedish Ministry of Environment and Energy, LSU - Sveriges Ungdomsorganisationer and also a representative from the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region.
At the meeting the organizations shared their practices and tools on working with youth, and we had discussions on how to involve youths further. For now, we are just in a dialogue on how we should cooperate - but the BSSSC are happy to see that the CBSS takes youth involvement seriously and took the initiative for this meeting. We will of course help and cooperate with them in their youth involvement endeavors.
Looking forward to seeing you again and continue working with youth involvement!
