The 24th BSSSC Annual Conference "Bridge Over Troubled Water - Value of Regional Co-operation in Challenging Times" took place from 14th to 16th September 2016 in Hämeenlinna, Finland.

The conference was dedicated to the European challenges we are facing today, but also overcoming them together, via co-operation within our common Baltic Sea Region.

The Annual Conference gathered around 150 participants from political and administrative level (local, regional, national and EU level) as well as representatives from academia, organizations, NGOs and the private sector from the 11 countries taking part in the Baltic Sea co-operation. The conference covered traditional BSSSC policy areas such as transport, culture and youth from innovative perspectives. Traditionally, speakers included representatives of the European Commission, Committee of the Regions, CBSS, CPMR, BDF and many more.
