New representatives elected to the BSSSC Youth Board
Following the recent BSSSC Youth Event in Hamar, Norway, Marlene Seifert from Brandenburg has been elected as a new member of the BSSSC Youth Board, joining Viktoria Buaas, who continues in her role.
Marlene has been actively involved in the BSSSC youth network since 2023, regularly participating in youth meetings and activities. Her mandate will run until autumn 2028.
Marlene succeeds Miro Broswitz, who has completed his two-year term as a Youth Board member and will continue as the newly elected deputy member, succeeding Justus August. BSSSC thanks both Miro and Justus for their contributions to the Youth Board's work.
Youth participation is an integral part of BSSSC's work and the development of its network. During the recent meetings in Hamar, nearly 40 young people and coordinators from across the Baltic Sea Region took part in discussions on the BSSSC Strategy 2030. Working alongside BSSSC Board members, they contributed their perspectives on the organisation's future objectives, priorities and areas of cooperation.
Building on this experience, BSSSC intends to continue involving young people in the development of its strategy and activities, ensuring that their perspectives are reflected in the organisation's work and future priorities.
