About the event
The BSSSC Board will meet in Hamar, Norway, on 21–23 September 2026 for three days of discussions, thematic sessions and study visits focused on current priorities and the future of regional cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region.
The Board Meeting on 22 September will cover youth involvement, developments in Brussels and the post-2027 Cohesion Policy, as well as updates from the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, regional funding programmes and BSSSC’s involvement in Interreg projects. Representatives of other Baltic Sea Region organisations will also provide updates on their current work.
The afternoon thematic programme will focus on two areas of particular relevance to the region: the green and sustainable energy transition, and societal resilience and security. The latter will explore Innlandet County’s whole-of-society approach, with particular attention to food security.
Study visits will provide practical examples and opportunities to exchange experience with local organisations and stakeholders.
On 23 September, Board members and BSSSC Youth representatives will take part in a workshop dedicated to the BSSSC Strategy 2035, bringing youth perspectives into discussions on the organisation’s future direction and priorities.
