Stockholm County, located on Sweden's eastern coast, is the most populous county in the country with over 2.4 million residents. It serves as the heart of Swedish political, cultural, and economic life, encompassing the city of Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, and 25 other municipalities. This makes up a blend of urban sophistication and natural beauty.
The county's archipelago comprises approximately 30,000 islands, islets, and skerries extending into the Baltic Sea. This maritime landscape features diverse terrain including lush forests, rocky cliffs, and serene waterways.
