Save the date for the BSSSC Annual Conference 2019

The BSSSC Annual Conference 2019 will take place in Klaipeda, Lithuania 18 till 20 September. The focus will be on sustainable maritime economy – BSSSC regions shaping the future of the Blue economy in the Baltic Sea Region.

The Blue Economy has a significant importance for the whole Baltic Sea Area. Blue Growth has a strong potential for sustainable business and innovations in many sub-regions and cities in the Baltic Sea Area. Through clean tech, aquaculture, tourism, culture, digitalisation, clean shipping and so on, we can provide input to increase prosperity of the whole Baltic Sea Region. A healthy Baltic Sea is crucial in this respect. Clear water, safe maritime traffic and healthy wildlife have concrete effects on the blue economy.

These areas will be presented and discussed in plenary sessions and parallel workshops during the conference. We hope to create a good dialog between public sector and private businesses related to the Blue economy.

The hosts of this year’s Annual Conference is the Association of Klaipeda region.
